A Day at the Museum

Today, Matt, Dan & I went to the American Museum of Natural History.  We hadn't been there in quite some time, so it was fun to go today.  Matt used one of his vacation days so that he could come along.  Suzie, however, had to work.  If she takes a day off, she doesn't get paid.  We tried to cram as much as we could into this visit.  It was hard, though, since the place was so crowded.
We went to the butterfly exhibit.  One butterfly landed on Dan's hat and didn't want to get off.  The butterflies were flying everywhere and were such amazing colors.  I'm glad we went there even though is was very hot and humid in the exhibit.

Of course, we had to see the dinosaurs and the huge blue whale.  It wouldn't be a trip to the museum without seeing them. I enjoyed the gem & mineral area; I don't remember it being that big.  There is a new exhibit on evolution that was very interesting.  We even got into the planetarium to see some rooms there.

I would like to go back, maybe on April break.
