Quiet day after the shovelling

Well, we managed to get about a knee-high pile of snow. At least it was fluffy and the snow blower finally decided to work. Once all that was done, I started knitting a hat for myself in a luscious blue merino bamboo yarn. I was the only one in the house without a hat so last night I decided to look for a pattern. Why I didn't do that when they first started predicting snow, I don't know. I'm about halfway through. I probably would be much further along if we hadn't lost power last night. We had wind gusts up to 52 mph and that must have knocked down some branches. Con Ed was good though, we got power back 2 1/2 hours later.

Everyone is relaxing today. I spoke to Matt and he will be just hanging around his place once he finishes his laundry. Dan is on the computer, Rich is reading and Suzie is up in her room.

I hope it is sunny tomorrow so the roads are clear. Suzie, Dan & I want to get out for a while.
