Tonight Suzie & I are going to the opera. Suzie's friend called us last night and offered us tickets for tonight and tomorrow. Since I get up at 5:30 AM, I didn't think I could do it two nights in a row.
Last Friday, Suzie & I went to see Danny Quinn sing at a local pub. If you have a chance, check him out http://www.dannyquinn.com/ Danny is such a good person and he has a fantastic voice. At the show we also saw someone Suzie had interned for while in high school. Bill Diamond is a puppeteer and TV show producer. Right now he is working on Monster Television www.monstertvnetwork.com Bill has invited us to visit his studio in Cornwall next week while we are off for school break.
I have been knitting every night on a project that may take me the rest of my life. It is a double sided scarf that is full of cables. I had bought some gorgeous yarn at the wool & sheep festival. It is a combination of wool, alpaca and silk. It feels like heaven. I don't think Suzie likes it because it is a dark pink.
School has been busy. The students are a little wired with Christmas vacation coming. It doesn't take much to set them off. We have had 2 altercations today, which is unusual. The school is normally fairly calm. There was one Christmas vacation where I had to put in overtime doing paperwork since there was such a big fight the day before vacation started. The fact that there is a full moon doesn't help. You can feel the difference in the school when there is a full moon. I always thought it was an old wives tale.
Christmas day should be quiet, just the 5 of us. I tried to get some friends to come over since they don't have a kitchen because the renovations haven't been finished. They just wanted to stay home and finish up the work.
By the way, I saw the doctor two weeks ago... 3 1/2 years cancer free!!! Yea!
I wish you all a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!
