Knitting groups

I started a knit/crochet group at school. I was hoping to get some students involved but there was no interest. I did, however, get some adults to come. They are a fun group of people. I just hope they keep it up. they just have to get past the beginning when it is so frustrating. The knitting circle at Support Connection starts on Thursday. I understand that there are 10 women coming. I hope the weather is good. I would hate to cancel again. I had to cancel 2 weeks ago for my aunt's wake.

I finished another baby blanket, sweater and hat today. 2 down and 3 to go. I liked the pattern for the baby sweater. It looks very "girly". I finished it just in time. The wife of the teacher to whom I am giving the sweater is due next week.
We were to begin regents exams today but they were snowed out. This is unfortunate since at least one student's January graduation depended upon his passing the exam. Other students who failed the exam in June were supposed to retake the exam as well. I hope the entire state got a lot of snow so the state will reschedule the exam instead of just canceling it.
The daughter of my friend, Maria, had a baby boy today. Her daughter was rushed to the hospital yesterday with heart and kidney problems. She was in intensive care all night and had the baby today around noon. I hope all goes well with her. She is in a good hospital outside Boston, so I have hopes for her recovery.
If you haven't seen Slumdog Millionaire, you should see it. The movie was very good and the entire cast was excellent. I still want to see Defiance and I'm not sure about Grand Torino. It is unusual to have so many good movies out at one time. Usually there is nothing worth going to see.
