More yarn

My friend, Mary, and I went to the sheep & wool festival today. The textures & colors can put you in sensory overload quickly. When I got home, Alfie went straight for my purchases. He loves yarn. I was knitting a scarf for Matt the other day and Alfie kept bringing me his toys to trade for the yarn. When I would have none of that, he buried his face in the yarn and started flipping it about while I was knitting. Then he tried to help me knit by nudging the knitting needles.

There is a magnificent yarn called Quivet which is make from yak fur. It costs $100 for less than an ounce but is worth every penny. In my next life when I am rich. I did get some beautiful yarn from Brooks Farm Yarn Co from Texas. They have lovely yarn and I buy something from them every year. I should go to their booth first every time.

It was a beautiful ride up to Rhinebeck today. The leaves are at peak color right now. It is so sad when all the leaves fall and the trees are bare. I can hardly wait until spring and the leaves are back.
