I have to say that the people at work have been wonderful. Cory, one of my co-workers, brought in a chocolate cake today to celebrate the end of radiation. I have been getting hugs and good wishes from so many people and they have been so supportive during this whole process.
It has been so crazy at work this week that I haven't been able to come up for air. The kids certainly have end of year fever and have been a little rambunctious. I have been off one day all week. This morning I thought it was Wednesday. At the end of the day I was telling the kids to have a good weekend. (Wishful thinking?)
I was talking to my brother in southern California over the weekend. He was saying how dry it is already and he was concerned about fire. Sure enough, there was a big fire the next day. He is part of a disaster assistance response team and is kept hopping during fire season. I hope this one isn't as bad as last year.
Matt is very happy in his condo. I can't believe how beautifully he decorated the place. The living room is especially nice. It has burgundy walls with a beige rug. The couch and bookcases are black. The black furniture against the dark red walls is very striking. Unfortunately, he just had to replace the furnace and central air conditioner. It was good he did it before it broke down. When Frank & Lindy Plumbing was dismantling the furnace, they noticed that the furnace would probably have cracked in a short while and leaked carbon monoxide into the apartment.
What is it with this weather? It was 80 degrees a week ago and 31 degrees this morning. I think the winter clothes will be sticking around for a while.
