Second round completed

Well, I finished my second round of radiation yesterday. It wasn't terrible and I love the people at Northern Westchester. I was trading videos with Matt, one of the radiation techs. We both love opera so I would lend him copies of my opera videos and he would give me videos that he thought I would enjoy. I brought them a cheesecake about two weeks ago and even my doctor wanted the recipe. It is such a fabulous cheesecake. When Junior, of Junior's cheesecakes, died, the New York Times put his cheesecake recipe in his obituary. The recipe is foolproof and tastes wonderful.

I have been busy, I finished making a nursing shawl for the wife of one of our teachers and I made a baby sweater & hat for Suzie's friend's baby. I have attached pictures of both.

Otherwise all is well. It is nice to have my life back again and not have to run to Mount Kisco after work every day. I actually had time to go shopping after work today. (Not much, just a card store.) I hear that my favorite yarn store is closing and is selling everything for 50% off. It sounds like time for a road trip. It is so sad that all the independent yarn stores are closing. It is getting harder & harder to buy high quality yarn. It is fine to go to Michaels or AC Moore for cheap yarn but if you want to make something nice, you have to go to an independent yarn store. I don't like buying yarn online, I like to feel the yarn and see the colors in person. It is just like the independent book stores, one by one they are all closing.
