Still tired

I am so glad that this is a short week. (School is closed Thursday & Friday for the Jewish holidays.) Working a full day almost non-stop and only being able to take a break on some days and partial lunches on others and then going to have radiation is taking its toll. I was in bed by 8:30 last night and it won't be much later tonight. The exhaustion from the radiation hasn't really begun to hit yet. This should be interesting. I hate the first few weeks of school, there is just too much to be done in an 8 hour day.

I have only done a little knitting and crocheting. I still have to finish a shawl that I am knitting for the mother of Suzie's friend. I am also about 1/3 of the way through a shawl for Support Connection. Then I have a cape that I am making for Suzie. (I put it aside because I hate working with the yarn.) I will have to get back to it since it is already started and I have so much of the yarn that I would never use for anything else. Maybe this weekend I can get some things finished since I have 4 days (when I am not sleeping). It would be wonderful for me if it was rainy, then I could sit around and nest. I suppose that is rather selfish of me, I am sure many people would love 4 beautiful days. Next month is the wool & sheep festival in Dutchess. That is a truly amazing experience, over a hundred yarn vendors in one spot. Heaven! I can overdose on the color and texture. I fell in love with some yarn from a yak last year. It was only about $50 an ounce. It was magnificent. Needless to say I didn't buy it. I don't need a $300 sweater.

Next week is the Native American Festival at FDR Park. I always enjoy the music & dancing (not to mention the jewelry booths). The food is only so-so. I am not a fan of fry bread and some of the other food is nothing special. I may try the buffalo this year.
